Magnetic oil drain plug for Segway PT gearbox
Suitable for:
Segway Gen2/i2/x2 Segway SE/i2/x2
Top product to protect your gear in the long term from wear by additional metal abrasion in the gearbox. The fine metal parts remain attached to the magnetic pin in the drain plug and can thus cause no further damage. Almost like a filter.
Segway PT gear oil drain plug with magnet that filters the metal chips from the gear oil and thus can not put the metal chips in the camp and damage them. A small useful helper which increases the longevity of the Segway PT transmission. Highly recommended in conjunction with PT Pro's gearbox reengineering to allow the Segway PT to run a segway life.
What has been standard for years in the combustion engine of sports vehicles is that the oil drain plugs are magnetic to filter the chips caused by the abrasion of the metal parts in the engine or transmission oil, and this is now also finding its way into the Segway PT. Even if there is no combustion in a Segway PT transmission, there is friction between the gears and the shafts in the bearings. This friction produces the finest metal chips. These metal chips then float in the oil and will automatically enter the bearings. This magnetic screw ensures that the chips adhere to the magnet and thus the oil is filtered so that the bearings remain free of deposits and the service life of the gearbox is increased.
Just remove the screw and remove the metal abrasion.
If a lot of metal dust is bound to the magnetic drain plug, this can be an indication of a damaged gearbox. Possibly. then a transmission revision or oil change is advisable.
