Hoss R1 service at PT Pro
PT Pro operates its own specialist workshop in Amberg for the Hoss R1. Following the manufacturer training by HOSS Mobility on 15 October 2026, the documented qualification for Hoss R1 versions 13 and 14 covers the biennial maintenance, the replacement of the battery and the control panel, and technical troubleshooting. It applies to the person named and qualified accordingly.
Not covered by this qualification are structural repairs, the replacement of drive motors, firmware changes and the recalibration of safety-relevant parameters – these require a separate authorisation from HOSS Mobility. Hoss R1 owners from other European countries can also contact PT Pro.

Service, spare parts and repairs for electric & balance wheelchairs
PT Pro Professional is your competent service centre for Genny Zero, Hoss R1, Freedom One Life, electric balance wheelchairs, Segway PT and other electric vehicles.
From our location in Bavaria, we offer service, spare parts and repairs across Europe – reliable, transparent and fair.
Honest service for your balance wheelchair
Anyone who, like us at PT Pro, has worked with the Segway PT for many years and runs Segway tours themselves knows the reality:
Accidents, falls and even total losses are unfortunately part of everyday life. Despite thorough rider instruction, damage to the Segway PT or an active wheelchair cannot always be avoided – even though the vehicles are fundamentally very robust.
Customers are then often faced with the statement:
“This part cannot be repaired, it has to be replaced completely.”
But is that really always true? And are the costs justified?
Repair instead of expensive replacement
From our many years of experience we know: Not every defect on an electric or balance wheelchair requires the replacement of complete assemblies.
Our approach is therefore very clear:
Repair wherever it makes technical and economic sense.
The targeted repair of individual components can often save considerable costs.
If replacement is nevertheless unavoidable, we keep many spare parts and assemblies in stock, so repairs can be carried out quickly and without long waiting times.
Please note: Some special components are temporarily unavailable for manufacturer-related reasons.
Maintenance & servicing of electric and balance wheelchairs
Regular maintenance and professional care significantly extend the service life of your vehicle and prevent many defects in advance.
Among other things, we maintain and service:
- Genny Zero
- Freedom One Life Series 5
- Hoss R1 (within the scope of the manufacturer authorisations)
- Electric balance wheelchairs
- Segway PT and other electric vehicles
Our maintenance packages are flexibly structured and individually adapted to your needs – fairly calculated and transparently explained.
Why PT Pro? – Experience, transparency and fairness
-
We run Segway tours ourselves
-
We ride and test our electric wheelchairs in everyday use
-
We know the problems from our own experience
That is why honest advice, realistic assessments and transparent pricing are at the centre of what we do.
You receive clear recommendations from us – without unnecessary repairs or hidden costs.
Transparent diagnosis & repair process
Every vehicle has its own history: from the private occasional rider to the heavily used fleet vehicle with several thousand kilometres of mileage per year. A flat-rate cost estimate in advance is therefore often not realistic.
Our process:
- Thorough fault diagnosis and test rides
- Targeted disassembly only to the extent necessary
- Detailed fault definition based on our experience
- Repair & renewed function test
- Binding quotation by email
- Final assembly after your approval
If a repair is no longer economically worthwhile, we only charge a small diagnosis and handling fee (“returned unrepaired with fault diagnosis”).
Cost reduction & credits possible
In certain cases it is possible to:
- leave functioning components with us to reduce costs
- receive a credit (e.g. for well-preserved batteries) if a repair no longer makes economic sense
We will gladly prepare an individual quotation for this.
Note: For repairs that necessarily require the manufacturer’s software or support, we have no influence on their pricing.
