PT Pro System Reset
Note: This procedure is a recommendation from PT Pro® and is not part of the official manufacturer documentation. It summarises the standard measures that recur throughout the fault code documentation (restart, briefly disconnect the battery, several restart attempts) into one consistent procedure.
- Park the Genny Zero safely and switch it off.
- If possible, remove the battery/batteries or leave them disconnected from the device for about 60 minutes.
- Reinsert or reconnect the battery/batteries and restart the device.
- Repeat this restart up to three times.
- Check whether the fault message is still shown.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do the Genny Zero fault codes mean?
The Genny Zero MD shows a fault code on the display whenever it detects a problem. Each code stands for a specific fault defined by the manufacturer and comes with a user action, which is also shown on the display.
Where does the information on this page come from?
All fault descriptions and user actions come from the official fault code documentation of the manufacturer, Genny Mobility. PT Pro® has only lightly simplified and organised the content by topic.
What is the PT Pro System Reset?
The PT Pro System Reset is a standard procedure compiled by PT Pro® (restart the device, briefly disconnect the battery, restart again) that is recommended as a first step for many fault codes before contacting Service.
Can I keep driving with a fault code showing?
That depends on the specific fault code. The user action shown on the display for that code tells you whether to stop immediately or whether you may proceed with caution. For any fault message indicating a safety risk, stop immediately.
What do I do if the fault persists after the reset?
In that case, please contact PT Pro Service. Have the exact fault code shown on the display ready.
Does this page list all Genny Zero fault codes?
This page lists all 81 fault codes from the manufacturer's official fault code documentation. The list may change if the manufacturer updates the documentation.
