Genny Zero XR – self-balancing balance wheelchair for terrain and challenging paths
The Genny Zero XR is the terrain-oriented XR version of the self-balancing Genny Zero. It combines the proven Genny Zero platform with larger wheels, a wider track, increased ground clearance, dedicated protective fenders and software specifically calibrated for the XR configuration.
The result is a balance wheelchair for users who do not want to limit their mobility to smooth roads and paved paths. Woodland tracks, field paths, grass, uneven routes and comparable demanding surfaces are among the environments where the XR configuration provides additional capability.
The manufacturer deliberately does not describe the XR as a conventional unrestricted off-road vehicle. Instead, the XR configuration has been developed to provide increased grip, stability and control when terrain becomes more demanding. PT Pro therefore positions the Genny Zero XR as a terrain-oriented balance wheelchair with dedicated XR off-road equipment.
What makes the Genny Zero XR different from the standard Genny Zero?
-
21x7-10-inch complete wheels on 10-inch alloy rims
-

-
wider track for additional stability and control
-
approximately 13 cm ground clearance according to PT Pro data
-
approximately 86 cm overall width according to PT Pro data

XR is more than simply fitting larger wheels
The Genny Zero XR is not simply a standard Genny Zero fitted with larger tyres. The XR configuration has been developed as an interaction between mechanical and electronic components.
The larger wheels and wider track change the ground contact area, vehicle geometry and weight distribution. The electronic stabilisation is therefore also calibrated specifically for the XR configuration.
The manufacturer describes the XR system as a dedicated integration of mechanics and electronics. Original components are therefore an important part of the intended vehicle calibration and safety concept.
More grip and a larger ground contact area
The wider XR wheels increase both the ground contact area and overall track width. On uneven and more demanding surfaces, this contributes to a more stable and controllable response.
The Genny Zero XR therefore extends the capabilities of the narrower standard configuration particularly where terrain requires additional traction, ground clearance and stability reserves.
Approximately 13 cm ground clearance for demanding terrain
The narrow standard Genny Zero configuration has a manufacturer-specified minimum ground clearance of 102 mm. According to PT Pro data, the XR configuration provides approximately 13 cm of ground clearance.
This additional clearance provides greater reserves over ground irregularities and more challenging surfaces and is particularly relevant on woodland and field tracks, grass and comparable terrain.
Wider track for additional stability reserves
A key element of the XR concept is its significantly wider track. Together with the larger tyres, this creates a larger ground contact area and supports stability and control particularly on uneven surfaces and lateral slopes within the intended operating limits.
According to PT Pro data, the Genny Zero XR has an overall width of approximately 86 cm.
More terrain capability requires more space
The wider track that provides the XR with additional advantages on demanding surfaces should also be considered in everyday use.
At approximately 86 cm wide, the Genny Zero XR requires more space than the narrower Genny Zero. Doorways, lifts, narrow passages, vehicle loading and other restricted spaces should therefore be checked before selecting the XR configuration.
Passages narrower than approximately 86 cm cannot be negotiated with the XR configuration.
Users who prioritise demanding outdoor environments, increased ground clearance, wider tyres and additional stability reserves may find the XR particularly suitable. Users who regularly need to pass through very narrow indoor environments should also compare the narrower Genny Zero configuration with PT Pro.
Genny Zero XR as an off-road and all-terrain balance wheelchair
Anyone searching for an off-road wheelchair, all-terrain wheelchair or self-balancing balance wheelchair for uneven paths will typically require suitable tyres, sufficient ground clearance, traction, stability and vehicle geometry appropriate for the intended terrain.
This is exactly where the XR configuration is designed to provide additional capability. Larger 21x7-10-inch wheels, wider terrain-oriented tyres, a larger ground contact area, wider track, increased ground clearance and dedicated XR software extend the Genny Zero's capabilities on more demanding surfaces.
The Genny Zero XR is therefore the terrain-oriented Genny Zero configuration for users whose mobility extends beyond paved paths. Actual suitability for any specific surface always depends on terrain, gradients, lateral slopes, weather conditions and the individual abilities of the user.
Comfortable on paved paths and roads as well
The XR configuration is not intended exclusively for terrain. The Genny Zero XR can also be used comfortably on paved paths and roads.
Its particular advantages become relevant where increased ground clearance, a larger contact area, wider tyres and a wider track are beneficial.
How is the Genny Zero XR controlled?
The Genny Zero XR is based on the active self-balancing concept of the Genny Zero. Acceleration and deceleration are controlled by shifting the rider's body and centre of gravity. Direction is controlled through the steering system.
The two-wheel self-balancing system provides excellent manoeuvrability and allows the vehicle to turn within a very small space. Safe operation always requires the user to have the functional abilities necessary to control the vehicle.

Current software generation 10.2.21
Current Genny Zero vehicles supplied by PT Pro are delivered with the applicable current software version. Software generation 10.2.21 introduces numerous developments in operation, stabilisation, parking functions, display, diagnostics and service.
Features include PARK OFF and DEEP SLEEP, revised driving stability and steering response, a redesigned console interface with Quick Controls, automatic and manual display brightness, GPS time, a new charging indicator and enhanced error and support information.
When an error occurs, the current console can provide a support QR code containing the error number and vehicle serial number, helping to simplify technical support.
The regular service interval with this software generation is 1,000 km. The SERVICE display indicates when maintenance is due. If the required service is not carried out, vehicle performance is reduced only from 1,500 km since the previous service.
The XR additionally uses software specifically calibrated for the XR configuration.

Every Genny Zero XR is individually configured by PT Pro
PT Pro does not use rigid Basic, Plus or Advance packages for the German market. What matters is which equipment actually suits the user and their intended application.
We therefore configure your Genny Zero together with you. Depending on individual requirements, seating, backrest, side handles, suspension and additional accessories can be selected accordingly.
The Genny Zero XR shown here serves as the starting point for your personal vehicle configuration.
Why is the Genny Zero XR available by enquiry from PT Pro?
A self-balancing balance wheelchair should not be selected solely from a product image and an online shopping cart.
Body height, body weight, functional abilities, trunk stability, intended use, required equipment and particularly the increased width of the XR configuration should be considered before ordering.
The Genny Zero XR is therefore intentionally not available for direct online checkout from PT Pro. Send us your enquiry and we will discuss the appropriate configuration with you before preparing an individual quotation.
Vehicle price and additional costs for Germany
The vehicle price displayed in the shop represents the Genny Zero XR in the described vehicle configuration. Assembly work required for this configuration is already included in our vehicle calculation.
The manufacturer's international pricing structure is also based on an ex-works price. Import and administrative fees, national registration and road-homologation costs as well as individual services provided by local partners are not included in the manufacturer's displayed vehicle price.
For a Genny Zero XR supplied to Germany, additional costs therefore arise for import, safe transportation and – where German registration is required – the corresponding vehicle preparation, TÜV inspection and registration.
What additional costs apply in Germany?
According to the current PT Pro calculation, the following additional items in particular must be considered:
- Import costs from Switzerland: €250.00 net
- Transport box: €200.00 net
- Pallet shipping to the customer within Germany: currently €149.00 net
For TÜV inspection and registration in Germany, the following additional costs apply:
- TÜV/StVZO Kit: €50.00 net
- TÜV inspection and registration: €650.00 net
Individually selected equipment, accessories and requested custom services such as paintwork or wrapping are added according to the individual configuration.
All costs applicable to your order are shown transparently in your individual quotation before a binding order is placed.
German TÜV inspection and registration for the Genny Zero XR
The XR configuration can also be prepared accordingly for German TÜV inspection. The larger tyres and wider XR configuration do not in themselves prevent the vehicle from being prepared for the corresponding German registration process.
The designated TÜV/StVZO Kit is installed as part of the vehicle preparation. This includes the intended components such as reflectors and the licence plate holder.
On request, PT Pro organises vehicle preparation, TÜV inspection and registration for customers throughout Germany.
This means you do not have to organise the individual steps from importing the Swiss vehicle through to German TÜV inspection yourself.
Import and transport organised by PT Pro
PT Pro organises the import of the Genny Zero XR from Switzerland and the subsequent transportation process to Germany.
A suitable transport box is used to protect the vehicle during transportation. The box remains with the customer after delivery and therefore provides practical long-term value.
Transport box for future service and repairs
If your Genny Zero XR later needs to be transported to PT Pro for extensive diagnostics, servicing or repairs, the suitable transport box is already available.
The vehicle can be safely placed back into the box and, following prior arrangement, collection and transport by a freight carrier can be organised.
The transport box therefore supports not only safe initial delivery but also future service and repair logistics.
Genny Zero or Genny Zero XR – which configuration is right for you?
The narrower Genny Zero and the Genny Zero XR are based on the same self-balancing concept but place different emphasis on everyday use.
The narrower Genny Zero is particularly versatile where indoor areas, doors and tighter passages are used regularly. Under suitable conditions it can also be used beyond perfectly smooth surfaces.
The Genny Zero XR places greater emphasis on more demanding terrain. Larger wheels, wider tyres, increased ground clearance and a wider track provide additional capability on woodland and field tracks, grass, uneven paths and comparable terrain.
The key practical difference is the additional space required by the XR. Doorway, lift, transport and passage widths should therefore be considered before selecting the vehicle.
PT Pro does not simply recommend the supposedly better vehicle. We help determine which Genny Zero configuration is better suited to your actual everyday requirements.
