This PT Pro HC Li-ion cell pack with 7.2 Ah is designed for the professional rebuild of suitable original Segway PT batteries.

The cell pack consists of a total of 92 new Li-ion cells and is pre-assembled for professional installation into a suitable original Segway PT battery housing.

PT Pro has many years of experience in the diagnosis, repair and rebuilding of Segway PT batteries. Our current 7.2 Ah HC cell generation is one of our preferred solutions when an existing Segway PT battery is technically suitable for a complete cell rebuild.

Why PT Pro Uses 7.2 Ah

With a Segway PT battery, the highest possible Ah rating is not the only relevant factor. Cells, BMS, battery housing and communication with the Segway PT base must operate reliably as one complete system.

Our current 7.2 Ah HC configuration provides increased capacity compared with older standard cell generations and has proven suitable in our professional Segway PT battery rebuilds.

For historical comparison, PT Pro uses 5.2 Ah = 100% as its reference value. Our current 7.2 Ah HC cell packs typically achieve approximately 135–142% according to our comparison values.

This percentage is specifically a PT Pro comparison value and does not guarantee an equivalent percentage increase in vehicle range. Actual range depends on factors including the vehicle, rider weight, tyres and tyre pressure, terrain, temperature, riding style and the overall technical condition of the vehicle.

Retaining the Original Segway BMS Where Technically Suitable

An important component of the Segway PT battery is its Battery Management System (BMS).

Based on our long-term practical experience, the combination of a suitable new cell pack and a technically sound original Segway BMS has proven particularly effective for suitable batteries.

During a professional rebuild, the existing original Segway BMS can therefore be retained when it has been tested and confirmed to be functioning correctly.

This retains an important part of the proven original Segway battery electronics while replacing the aged cells with the current HC cell generation.

Important: A new cell pack cannot repair a defective BMS. The cell pack and BMS therefore need to be assessed separately.

Why Ah Capacity Alone Does Not Determine Battery Quality

A Segway PT is a self-balancing vehicle and places specific demands on its energy supply.

The suitability and quality of a battery therefore cannot be assessed solely by its stated capacity.

Relevant factors include:

quality and electrical characteristics of the cells
voltage behaviour under load
actually usable capacity
cell balancing
condition and function of the BMS
communication with the Segway PT base
professional assembly and installation
condition of the existing battery housing and electrical components

For this reason, PT Pro evaluates a Segway PT battery as a complete battery system rather than focusing solely on the highest possible capacity figure.

This product is expressly not a complete ready-to-use Segway PT battery.

It is a pre-assembled HC cell pack intended for professional installation into a suitable original Segway PT battery housing.

For a complete rebuild, the existing battery housing, BMS and other relevant components must be inspected and assessed.

Not Intended for DIY Installation

This cell pack is not intended for installation by end users.

Working on opened high-energy lithium-ion batteries requires appropriate technical expertise, tools, test equipment and safe working conditions.

Incorrect work can cause short circuits, very high electrical currents, electrical and thermal hazards, damage to the battery system and fire.

Installation, testing and commissioning must therefore only be carried out by appropriately qualified personnel.

When using the vehicle, the current road traffic regulations in the respective country must be observed
Always store batteries and accumulators in a dry place and at room temperature (10 - 25 degrees)
Charge batteries only at adequately fused sockets and with charging cables designed for this purpose
Protect batteries and their connectors from moisture
Always switch off your electric vehicle and disconnect the power cable before carrying out maintenance work or replacing parts or accessories.
Remove both batteries / accumulators before starting work
Do not clean with steam jet or garden hose or drive through deep puddles! Clean with a damp cloth!

Lamps:

Please always ensure sufficient battery power for the duration of your ride.
Never look directly into the light source. This can lead to blindness

Rims:

Important: Risk of crashing:
Check rims for damage before every ride!
Rims with out-of-balance or which show knocks, hairline cracks and deformation must be replaced immediately.
Hairline cracks are difficult to detect, danger of breaking! Hairline cracks are possible, especially after accidents and after riding fast over high edges (high pavement, thick roots etc.). Here you save at the wrong place!
Regularly check the screw connection of the rims!
Never use rims as load securing points (lashing strap!). Lateral tension forces can damage the rim.

Helmets:

Caution: Not suitable for motorcycling!
Please read the warnings inside the helmet!
Only wear the helmet while riding. Danger of strangulation due to getting caught on the chinstrap when climbing or playing.
The helmet can no longer fulfil its protective function after a fall, so replace it after every fall.
Materials age due to UV radiation and external influences. To ensure optimum protection, safety helmets should always be replaced after approx. 5 years.

Caution:
Electronic components are generally excluded from return, cancellation and conversion, as these are specific individual productions due to the respective programming of the component or customer-specific optimizations. Complaints can only be accepted if the component was installed by a trained PT Pro technician. In case of self-installation, any form of warranty or guarantee expires. We refer here to § 312g paragraph 2 BGB additionally apply: I. Exclusion already before the beginning of the production of the goods II. Exclusion only in case of considerable economic disadvantages for the entrepreneur.
