Genny Zero Plus White or Grey – self-balancing balance wheelchair with Öhlins suspension
The Genny Zero Plus in White or Grey combines the complete self-balancing Genny Zero vehicle technology with increased ride comfort provided by premium Öhlins suspension.
This positions the Plus between the functional PT Pro Basic and the more extensively equipped Advanced configuration. It is particularly relevant for users who want active, compact Genny Zero mobility combined with increased suspension comfort without automatically requiring the complete Advanced specification.
Unlike a conventional four-wheel electric wheelchair, Genny Zero travels on two parallel wheels and electronically maintains its balance while riding.
Acceleration and deceleration are controlled by shifting the rider's body and centre of gravity. Direction is controlled through the steering system, creating an active operating concept with direct rider involvement.
Genny Zero was developed as an independent self-balancing mobility platform and is not based on a Segway PT.
What distinguishes the Genny Zero Plus?
The key additional equipment feature of the Genny Zero Plus is its Öhlins suspension.
The Plus therefore combines the compact self-balancing Genny Zero platform with increased suspension comfort compared with the Basic.
PT Pro offers the Plus in White or Grey.
Key features include:
- White or Grey bodywork
- Öhlins suspension
- self-balancing Genny Zero platform
- adjustable seating system
- adjustable Tarta® Design backrest
- differentiated-density cushion
- retractable steering
- touchscreen display
- foldable transfer handles
The premium embroidered/quilted comfort cushion of the Advanced version is not part of the regular Plus configuration.
Basic, Plus or Advanced – what is the difference?
The fundamental self-balancing vehicle technology remains the same throughout the Genny Zero model family. The main differences concern equipment and comfort.
The PT Pro Basic is clearly defined as White or Grey with low side handles, standard seat cushion and no Öhlins suspension.
The Plus adds the premium Öhlins suspension, providing increased ride comfort.
The Advanced extends the equipment further and includes Öhlins suspension together with the premium embroidered/quilted comfort cushion and the corresponding Advanced colour options.
At PT Pro, however, the model designation alone is not the decisive factor. Where equipment is specifically adapted to individual requirements, the Genny Zero is configured according to the rider's actual needs.
Öhlins suspension – the key comfort advantage of the Plus
The Öhlins suspension is the central equipment feature that distinguishes the Plus from the PT Pro Basic.
It complements the active self-balancing driving concept with a premium suspension solution and can provide increased ride comfort, particularly on longer journeys and less even surfaces.
The actual suspension and seating requirements depend on the individual rider, body weight, physical requirements and typical intended use.
Self-balancing mobility on two wheels
The central technical feature of Genny Zero is its self-balancing platform. The electronic system continuously monitors and corrects vehicle balance, enabling mobility on two parallel wheels.
This creates a fundamentally different driving concept from a conventional electric wheelchair. Rather than controlling every movement exclusively through a joystick, the rider's own body becomes an active part of vehicle control.
How is Genny Zero controlled?
-
Centre of gravity forward: accelerate
-
Centre of gravity backwards: decelerate and brake
-
Steering system: controls direction
Safe use requires the functional abilities necessary to control this active operating concept.
A diagnosis or disability alone therefore does not determine whether Genny Zero is suitable for an individual rider.
PT Pro recommends personal consultation, a test ride and individual assessment before purchase.
0 mm turning radius – rotate on the spot
A major advantage of the self-balancing two-wheel platform is its exceptional manoeuvrability.
Genny Zero can rotate on the spot and has a specified turning radius of 0 mm.
This is particularly useful in indoor environments, lifts, shops, restaurants and other areas where manoeuvring space is limited.
Approximately 62.5 cm overall width
The standard Genny Zero configuration has an overall width of approximately 625 mm or 62.5 cm.
The Genny Zero Plus therefore remains exceptionally compact despite its self-balancing two-wheel technology.
This is particularly useful for doors, lifts, indoor environments and tighter passages. The actual clear width of doors and passages should nevertheless always be checked.
Indoor, urban and paved use – with additional versatility
The Genny Zero Plus is particularly suitable for versatile everyday mobility, including indoor environments, urban areas, pavements and paved paths.
It is not restricted to perfectly smooth surfaces. The standard platform provides approximately 102 mm minimum ground clearance and can also be used on suitable uneven surfaces within its intended operating limits.
Surface conditions, obstacles, gradients, lateral slopes, weather and the individual abilities of the rider must always be considered.
Users who regularly travel over substantially more demanding terrain should also compare the Genny Zero XR with PT Pro. The XR provides larger wheels, increased ground clearance and a wider track but requires significantly more space due to its greater overall width.
Seating system and Tarta® Design backrest
Current standard Genny Zero equipment includes a height- and depth-adjustable seating system and an adjustable Tarta® Design backrest.
The Plus uses a differentiated-density cushion. The premium embroidered/quilted comfort cushion belongs to the Advanced specification.
The seating position must always suit the individual rider. PT Pro therefore assesses whether the standard configuration is appropriate or whether an individual adaptation is required.
Current Genny Zero software 10.2.21
The current Genny Zero software generation 10.2.21 has been available since 23 September 2026 and introduces important developments in driving behaviour, operation, parking, diagnostics and service.
-
PARK OFF with revised parking and shutdown logic
-
DEEP SLEEP as an additional energy-saving function
- revised driving stability and steering response
- starting, DRIVE, motor start and SERVOGUIDA operation on inclines up to approximately 8° instead of approximately 4°
- redesigned console interface and operating structure
-
Quick Controls for important settings
- GPS-based time
- automatic and manual display brightness
- new charging indicator
- revised error, warning and protection logic
- support QR code displaying the error number and vehicle serial number
The new software generation therefore improves various driving and operating functions while also supporting diagnostics, maintenance and technical support.
Service interval now 1,000 km
Software version 10.2.21 also changes the Genny Zero service logic.
The regular service interval is 1,000 km. The SERVICE display indicates when maintenance is required without an acoustic warning.
Vehicle performance is reduced only from 1,500 km since the previous service if the required maintenance has not been completed.
Older information referring to a 750 km service interval or performance reduction from 1,000 km no longer reflects the current status of vehicles running software version 10.2.21.

GENNY ZERO MD – medical device for personal mobility
GENNY ZERO MD is designed as a self-balancing electric medical mobility device.
Medical-device status does not mean that the vehicle is automatically suitable for every rider. Physical requirements, functional abilities, safe controllability and intended use must always be assessed individually.
PT Pro therefore recommends a personal test ride, assessment and instruction before long-term use.
Who is the Genny Zero Plus for?
The Plus is particularly relevant for users who want compact and active Genny Zero mobility combined with increased suspension comfort compared with the Basic.
It can be an appropriate choice where Öhlins suspension is desired but the additional equipment of the Advanced configuration is not required.
The appropriate version should not be selected solely by model name or price. Physical requirements, seating position, driving profile and typical surfaces are more important factors.
Individual configuration by PT Pro
Basic, Plus and Advanced provide clear starting configurations. At PT Pro, however, the rider's actual requirements remain the decisive factor.
When individual components are changed or additional equipment is selected, the vehicle can become an individually configured Genny Zero.
PT Pro therefore discusses the equipment actually required before ordering.
Why is Genny Zero Plus available by enquiry?
A self-balancing balance wheelchair should not be selected solely from a product image and an online shopping cart.
Body height, body weight, functional abilities, trunk stability, intended use, seating position and required equipment are important factors when determining an appropriate vehicle configuration.
Genny Zero Plus is therefore intentionally not available for direct online checkout from PT Pro. Following your enquiry, we assess the appropriate configuration with you and prepare an individual quotation.
