Segway PT Screws, Nuts & Small Parts

Here you will find screws, nuts, washers and other small parts for Segway PT i2 and x2 models of the Gen2 and SE generations. The sets are organised according to their specific application on the vehicle, making it easier to select the correct fasteners.

The range includes fasteners for batteries, wheels, gearboxes, housings, fenders, LeanSteer and handlebar components, side bars, license plate holders, parking stands and other Segway PT assemblies.

Correct dimensions, fastener specification and tightening torque are important when working on a Segway PT. Always use suitable fasteners for the relevant assembly and follow the applicable installation and torque specifications.

Screws and small parts for Segway PT i2 and x2

A Segway PT uses many different screws, nuts, washers and other fasteners. Depending on the assembly, thread, length, head design, strength and required tightening torque can differ.

PT Pro therefore offers screw and small-parts sets matched to specific Segway PT assemblies. This avoids having to search for an apparently suitable standard fastener every time maintenance or repair work is carried out.

Use the correct fastener

A screw should not be selected simply because its thread diameter and length appear to fit. Fastener specification, strength, head geometry and the design of the mating thread can also be important on a Segway PT.

An unsuitable fastener can damage a thread, seat incorrectly or fail to secure the assembly as intended. This is particularly relevant for aluminium components and safety-relevant connections.

Segway specifies that suitable replacement fasteners must be used and that the specified tightening torques must be observed during service and repair work.

Fasteners for batteries and powerbase components

PT Pro supplies suitable fasteners for various powerbase components, including:

  • Segway PT batteries
  • housing and housing covers
  • UIC and related housing components
  • charging port
  • internal components and covers

Screws that are removed frequently should be replaced when their heads or threads show significant damage or wear.

Wheel, gearbox and drivetrain fasteners

For wheels and drivetrain components, PT Pro offers wheel nuts, gearbox studs, gearbox screw sets, wheel-adapter fasteners and other suitable mounting components.

Wheel and drivetrain connections are safety-relevant. The correct components and specified tightening torques must therefore be used.

Fender and side-bar fasteners

Different screws, washers, rubber buffers and other small components are also available for fenders, x2 fender frames and side bars.

Some Segway PT x2 mounting systems use several coordinated components. Missing rubber buffers, washers or fasteners should therefore not be replaced with arbitrary parts.

LeanSteer, handlebar and pivot fasteners

The range also includes screws for handlebar clamps, LeanSteer components and other mounting points in the steering area.

These connections can directly affect safe vehicle operation. Damaged threads, rounded screw heads or incorrectly secured components should therefore not be ignored.

License plate holders, parking stands and accessories

PT Pro also offers suitable fastener sets for different original and PT Pro accessories, including:

  • license plate holders and mounting plates
  • parking stands and SEG Autostand
  • handlebar bag brackets
  • advertising sign brackets
  • other mounting and accessory components

The intended application is specified with each individual product.

Thread repair on Segway PT components

This category also includes thread repair inserts for selected Segway PT applications. When professionally installed, they can be used to repair damaged threads in areas such as housings, battery mounting points or pivot components.

Thread repairs require precise workmanship. Particularly at structural or safety-relevant mounting points, the repaired connection must be technically sound before the vehicle is returned to service.

Replace damaged or corroded screws in good time

In PT Pro workshop practice, we regularly encounter Segway PT vehicles with corroded, damaged or rounded fastener heads. This can create unnecessary additional work during the next repair if a screw can no longer be removed with the intended tool.

An obviously damaged screw should therefore not simply be reused during maintenance. Replacing it early is inexpensive and can significantly simplify future service work.

Observe Segway PT tightening torque specifications

Segway explicitly requires the specified tightening torques to be observed. Both over-tightening and under-tightening can cause damage or malfunction.

Where a specified torque applies, a suitable torque wrench should be used. The technical specification for the specific assembly and vehicle version is authoritative.

For this reason, we deliberately do not provide one general torque table for every fastener in this category. The correct specification should always be assigned to the specific component and vehicle configuration.

Gen2, SE, i2 and x2 – check compatibility

Not every fastener set fits every Segway PT. Some mounting systems differ between Gen2 and SE, while others differ between i2 and x2.

PT Pro therefore specifies the intended assembly and Segway PT version for each fastener set. Check this information before ordering.

PT Pro fastener sets for maintenance and repair

PT Pro fastener sets have been developed from practical Segway PT workshop experience. Instead of identifying thread, length and specification from scratch for every repair, the required small parts are organised according to their actual application on the vehicle.

This is particularly useful for workshops, tour operators and larger Segway PT fleets. Frequently required screws and small parts can be kept in stock so that maintenance and repairs are not delayed by a missing fastener.
